My mom came out in October and we had a blast. My boys LOVE having their grandma to play with and I love having someone to help with the kids. Thanks for all your help mom…we miss you.
Kent had a conference in Nashville over Halloween weekend so Kayla and I tagged along. Kent's sister was gracious enough to watch the boys...Thanks Andrea and Eddie! I was sad to miss the trick-or-treating but it was nice to get away and truthfully I'm not that big on Halloween anyway. (We did make it to our ward Party so I got to see them in their costumes.)
We visited a life-size replica of the Parthenon. I’m not sure it was worth the eight bucks just to get a picture in front of an enormous statue of Athena but I guess it’s something you have to do if you’re in Nashville.
We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame which was pretty cool. I’m not a huge country fan but anyone who knows Kent knows he loves it so he was in Country Music Heaven.
The highlight for Kent, besides seeing tons of thrilling new Dental technology, was the Grand Ole Opry. If we hadn’t had Kayla with us we probably would have gone to the concert that night (I think it was Brad Paisley) but it was enough for Kent just to be there and to get a keychain from the gift shop.
I had to post a few pics of the kids. Kayla will be seven months on Saturday—can’t believe it. We’re working on the solid foods but more ends up on her face than in her tummy. She is the sweetest baby, very content and happy…which is a welcome thing when you have three kids. Austin is loving Kindergarten (which I’m realizing comes with a whole new attitude and some annoying behaviors—having him copy everything I say is getting really old .) Brayden is terribly two and he’ll be terribly three on Christmas Day. Kent claims he’s just like me so if he’s tired or hungry…watch out!
There is so much that has happened since July that I’ll try to post some more. Of course, I make no promises (except that it won’t be four more months until the next post).
